Harmonic Recorders:

With E-foot – more than just a semitone…
Extension of the foot joint and additional key cause an extension of the tone range for half a tone downwards to the deep E‘. Through this the opportunities of literature are widened out significantly and playing of transliterations is eased, for example of sonatas of Bach, Mozart, Schubert and most of the jazz standards. In addition to this the E-foot causes increasing opportunities of playing the instrument in details.
Tone range: about three octaves (up to Eb‘‘‘‘)! Additional spectrum of alternative fingerings and trill combinations.

From the joint development between the recorder player
Nik Tarasov and the recorder maker Joachim Paetzold the Modern Alto Recorder emerged in 1996. This is the first recorder that is constructed after the principle of Harmonic Recorders with pure overtones and a long mensur: Overblowing the recorder grasping the first octave the pure overtones sound whereas doing so with traditional recorders the overtones appear impure and can only be used as trill or piano fingerings.
This ability of the harmonic recorder appearing unimpressive at first sight has got wide consequences to the opportunities this instrument has got – an outstanding forceful and sturdy depth and a tone range widely into the 3rd octave!
Forceful and assertive: With this sound you can assert yourself in playing together with modern orchestra instruments or the piano. Whatever you do, playing in a pop, jazz or folk band, with a string orchestra or a piano trio – this recorder will never be missed!
The dynamic range gets over the restrictions of traditional recorders: an incredibly forceful sound in the depth and intermediate, soft-playing in the high tone range without difficulties are possible. Just give rein to your musicality!
The easy attack, chromatic flexibility and the enormous tone range are going beyond widely over the traditional examples and invite you to seize literature for other instruments to the recorder.
A tone range into the 3rd octave:
Expansion of your repertoire into all areas and styles (for example flute literature).
Familiar fingering
With the Modern Soprano and Alto you use the familiar ’baroque fingering‘. Accessing the 3rd octave other fingerings are necessary.
SYNPOR block: stability in continuous use:
The molecular structure of wood imitating plastic Synpor is similar to cedar and can absorb respiration humidity through its micropores. In opposite to the traditional block material cedar can not swell so that the block keeps its dimensions even after long sessions.
